I'm a separated father to three great kids full time during the week at home and three more grown kids not at home but I would like to find some more adult company on the weekends just to see where it might go. I own and live on 34 acres on the Brazos River just north of Possum Kingdom lake in rural north Texas. I'm out the door before sunrise every day and I work outside all day building custom homes. And then when I'm home most of the time I'm outside as well. I love it outdoors in just about any kind of weather and myself and my kids do a lot of camping, hiking, and biking with some occasional hunting and fishing. I'm blessed to still have the body of a 20something year old with endurance to match and I never slow down.
The funnest part of my week is usually running with a running group known as the Hash House Harriers and we run cross country with beer checks along the way. I meet lots of great people there for sure but I'd also like to get to know some new friends perhaps at a slower pace than a full run through the brush.
I 'm not looking for an instant relationship with anyone and with me it's best to move slow. I tend to run the other way if I think things are moving to fast in a new relationship. At the same time though I am a true Scorpio and passion rules my sign. I'm kind of nerdy, kind of rock-n-roll, always a gentleman and loyal to a fault. All my friends call me a "stand up kind of guy".
I'm also inactive USMC recon and I'm a conservative patriot and sometimes I can be very outspoken on some topics but I also respect the fact that everyone has a right to their own opinion.
I have been trying hard to quit smoking and have cut back to only a quarter pack a day and I think being with other non-smokers will help me quit the rest of the way. I'm also a social drinker but not a drunk. I know when to stop and a six pack can last a week in my fridge.
