Raised in Colorado, I've fallen for the outdoors and nature. I run almost every day. I've traveled some of the world and even lived in China for a year. Yes, I speak a bit of Mandarin. I am in grad school, where I use math to make computers do interesting things. I eat mostly organic fruits, nuts, and veggies, but I'm not strict about it. I tend to be extremely non-judgmental. I believe in healthy moderation combined with the occasional splurge. I am naturally an introvert and am generally quieter than most, but I can also command a room and lead teams of people, which I did many times in a past life as a program manager. And I have the best dog in the world. I swear thinks she's a real person by the way she tries to talk to everyone. Not bark...talk.
Right now, I value my education above all else. Beyond that, my likes and interests are pretty simple. Run, eat healthy, get outdoors, travel. I also look forward to setting myself up with a really nice work-life balance a few years down the road from now. I also read myself to sleep.
I'm most interested in someone relaxed in life, who knows what they want, and actively pursues a passion for growing in some way. And I'd love to meet someone that loves or has a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
Also, I'm getting graduate degree in NYC, but I'm not planning on staying there once I'm done with school. I'm only in Austin for the summer. Believe it or not, I'm not just on here for an Austin fling. After a year of living almost monk-like in my tiny east village apartment, I want to branch out. I'm looking for a connection with someone. Perhaps it will last longer than just a summer. Perhaps not, but I feel that it's worth trying.
