I recently moved to Manhattan for work; a few months before I moved back to the US to be closer to my amazing family (who are mostly in Jersey, though also scattered around the world).
I'm new in this city - so I'm looking to meet people. Friends, lovers, business partners, hiking buddies, the one? IDK. :) I do know that I don't like making decisions about how someone might fit in my life on the first date.
So I guess I'm also looking for an open minded, funny (super important), outdoorsy person who enjoys life and prefers focusing on the good parts of it rather than the crappy parts. Fearlessness is also helpful, especially when it comes to killing bugs indoors and scaring away snakes outdoors. I cannot respect a man who is as chicken as me when it comes to these things.
In addition to hiking, swimming in calm, nature places, and exploring anywhere outdoors, I really enjoy cooking for other people. I savor good food, and am thankful I've been gifted with the skills to create it.
Here's something else that I know will turn off a bunch of people, but whatever. I like the idea of friends first. Of hanging out a few times before getting physical. Maybe even hanging out with each others' friends early on(which is normal in most of the world, but seems wrong here). Anyhow, that's just my dating style.
