Creative, adventurous, wildlife, passionate, TakeOnTheWorld
I'm a dreamer and a doer. I dream of pristine pine forests, faraway lands, the colors and rich tapestry of 10,000 types of plants and animals. I dream of great apes NOT going extinct in our lifetime and I'm working like a asasd#$fkjhas$ to help make that happen....I'm a writer. My first book, free on the internet, is called Take Me For A Ride. My second, recently released, is called The Monkey Bible.
I run a wildlife conservation NGO with projects in Africa and in Asia. Our flagship project is an innovative storytelling system called vEcotourism, or virtual ecotourism. Google it, check it out, volunteer, c'mon!
I'm passionate about animals and people. I sorely miss my beloved Siberian husky, Nunatak. She and I went on some incredible adventures, including a bicycle trip across North America! I co-run a software corporation, which is to say, I'm not such a radical tree-hugger than I don't delve into the fascinating world of humans and hi-tech.
I have two kids, ages 5 and 7, and I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. MORE LOVE! Do you get the idea? I'm a gentle, hands-on dad, imaginative, playful, fun and, yes, often silly. I'm a New Yorker, so I see myself as being direct, honest. What I value most in a love relationship is fidelity, trust, communication, playfulness, joy, passion, romance.
I'm something of a maverick, a character. I traverse the outer rim and share the adventures with the inner hub. Last summer, in Uganda, I had the pleasure of finding myself smack in the center of a near-riot between several hundred really pissed off villagers (some of whom had spears), quite a few armed park rangers, armed military. That story (nonfiction) had to do with a female lion, just killed, plus one muzungu (me!). Talk about stories! Curiously, I have the resolution of this conflict recorded on youtube! I'm into storytelling and have run a storytelling org for 15 yrs.
I'm tall, thin, fairly strong, with good leg muscles. I'm not a foaming-at-the-mouth radical new ager. Noooo. In fact, in some ways, I'm kind of traditional, which sometimes surprises me.
So what am I looking for? She is, above all, faithful, open, honest, kind, and playful. She is creative and energetic and sensitive and wonderful--an adventure waiting to happen. She is flexible and resourceful and not overly materialistic, which gives one economic freedom to pursue creative projects, study, travel.
Though she is a people person, it is for her going home when...
Looks like i've run out of space...for the rest of this, please see http://www.monkeybible.com/creativeguy
