Pretty much a definitive moment for me was on my first bike tour out West I had bought a donut to eat at some scenic location further along on the ride when I started to bonk and just threw my bike in the ditch off some highway and scarfed it down-what a wonderful feeling! And so easy right then and there-truly happy. The redwoods in the fog, being so tired, but feeling so good. Endurance, nature, going out into the unknown, simple. Being flexible. Out West biking and missed my turn but easy enough to just keep biking and then had an amazing downhill going 40mph for who knows how long then had a flat section with a great view of the Tetons a few miles out past these wheat fields. I'm practical and like a deal.... I like traveling light. I've gone on these trips alone but manage to meet the best of friends along the way. Someone once asked me if I was raised with a pack of wolves. Don't even get me started on Wyoming! Ahhh.... So yeah, I want to share this and so much more with another!
