Outgoing, spontaneous, and adventurous! I am currently living in Toronto with my youngest, who is a barista at 17, and my eldest (an artist) lives in another city. We moved here a few years back from a smaller city. Me and my children's father went our separate ways many moons ago, both of us have moved on, and he lives in another city.
Over the years, I have rediscovered my deep love for nature, hiking, and exploring outdoors. I just returned from a tour in the Grand Canyon which was incredible and I cannot wait to go back! I work for a provincial NGO that suppports many smaller non-profits that are dedicated to generously helping to improve the lives of others. I love my work and my career! There are land-based aspects tied into the work which is an added bonus!
That aside, I am of Afro-Canadian, Indigenous (Metis and Mi'kmaw), and Afro-Caribbean decent and this fusion of cultures is likely why I have a broad array of interests and appreciation in food, music, art, history, travel destinations, people, spirituality, and land-based activities and more!
Meeting new incredible people, trying new amazing things, and travelling and hiking to wonderful destinations are amongst my very favorite things to do (next to dressing up on occasion to go dancing to some old school R & B or NeoSoul and going out for dinners, events, or checking into a nice hotel). I think o sn pretty balanced! :)
I enjoy being out in nature (scary, crawly, slimmy, pesty, creepy, dangerous things aside) especially in a forest, provincial or natural park, near/on water, or in the desert. Camping in tents or cabins is also fun! I really appreciate the opportunities to get out and admire the natural beauty found around us.
Looking forward to hearing about your love for the outdoors and other aspects of life!
