A friend once said that if they couldn't find me they would look at the nearest mountain, as chances were I would either be climbing up it or jumping off it! This has become the case more and more since I spent 4 months working in Switzerland last year. Having tried (just about) everything the alps could offer I am now sat at home in Nottingham with itchy feet complaining about the lack of mountains, rivers and people who have the same kind of sanity as me regarding these things!

The mountains keeping pulling me back and I keep managing to make trips for a few days to get an outdoor fix. Having someone to make trips with, whether in the UK or abroad would make it much nicer, and mean I don't have to question myself so much about if it really is such a good idea to go off and hike up a mountain in the dark and rain just to see the sunrise from the top...
