For quite a while I'd assumed that the only dating site for outdoorsy folks was Farmers Only. Glad to see I was wrong.

I guess I'm a bit of an oddity. Originally from the coalfields and steel mills of Appalachia, I've lived in the country most of my life but am ivy league educated with 2 grad degrees and a former University professor (among other things). Oftentimes in those situations I felt as though I fit in about as well as a mongoose at a cobra convention so I now live off grid in the mountains and am much more comfortable associating with the deer, wild turkeys and elk. My primary residence is 5 miles from the nearest utility pole at 4000' elevation in central Washington State. I also have a second home on the wet side of the Cascades 50' from the Skykomish River â
