I like being outside, relaxing with a beer+bbq, random adventures, adrenaline!
Like trying new things rather than sticking with the same old same old. I really enjoy travelling - I've had stints in the Amazon rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef, an active volcano, hurricane-hit New Orleans, and Peru's Inca Trail - and I still want more!! You just can't beat soaking in new cultures and experiencing different ways of life..
Amazingly my job lets me travel and go outdoors. I'm a Geography teacher. I love my job, everyday is different and kids come out with hilarious stuff sometimes. The downside is never really meeting anyone new, hence being on here to try to change that...
When I'm not marking, or hot-footing the world, I can often be found whittling away a few hours in the pub, watching a film, playing cards, cooking. I am vegetarian because I was brought up that way (I don't really mind if you wave a piece of meat in front of me). Can be quite musical - used to play the keyboard and would like to get back into it, and would like to take up photography and gym soon. My musical tastes are quite varied - generally I just listen to Radio 1 and don't have a clue what I'm listening to, if I had to pick I'd say my top bands would be Embrace, Keane, Oasis, Muse, or Coldplay. Emo/goth "I want to kill myself" music, and heavy metal are a no-no. Cheesy pop (in the right drunken sort of mood) = yes!!!!
My family are very important to me, my sister and cousins are all younger than me (23, 20, 14, 9, 7, 5) and I get on really well with all of them.
Friends would probably describe me as being quiet, calm and modest, with a subtle sense of humour and a bit of a hidden adventurous streak. Looking to meet someone warm & down to earth, who appreciates a bit of romance and chivalry, and someone who's up for trying new things... there's a whole world out there.
